 in art school, or just in the animation industry why is anime looked down upon? personally i find this a lil hypocritical because why are american animators constantly trying to copy anime style in cartoons ex- teen titans, avatar last air bender,totally spies etc. and disney even partially owns studio ghibli- hayo miyazaki, spirited away. so why is it still looked down upon. the last art exhibition i went to tons of artist style and influenced by anime, so why? I don't think many art schools or the animation industry look down on anime. 1. Admiration and respect It's all it is in the art world. There is no such thing as something looked down upon. This could be one sided. I don't think most would look down on anime. There are some people who have different tastes. But doesn't matter. Plus, how can anime be looked down upon if the artists don't respect other cultural arts? |

Career in Animation Industry
Animation is emerging a special form of media now days it’s growing in to multibillion dollar industry generative a great scope of employment for those who are creative having a lot passion and imaginative skills.

Education Qualification –
For diploma or bachelor degree in animation one needs to have passed 12th standard.
For Post Graduate Programme one should d have a bachelor degree in any discipline preferably in arts. And basic knowledge in computer is also required.
Scope in this career-
Animation is a sparking career option even though it is at its nascent stage in India.
NASSCOM says that India is a gaming industry (computer game and mobiles games) is expected to generate $424 million by the 2010. NASSCOM has projected a creation of an additional 3,00,000 jobs in this sector in next few years. Indian animation industry has a great potential. India has great mythological stories and character, good artist and technicians. There will be growing needs for animator in the film industry; no other artistic career carries the sheer opportunity which animation will provide for year to come.
