Islamic Fundamentalism - The Koran Is Gibberish
People say that the bible is gibberish all of the time, yet if you say the Koran is gibberish, you will be called an intolerant racist. Go on any online forum and you will see people lined up to take pot shots against Jews, Christians, Israel and the United States. Say something about the Koran and you will find your account quickly terminated for violation of terms of service. People are so willing to accept Islamic fundamentalism that they will turn over the keys to the city in exchange for not being labeled intolerant. Say the Koran is gibberish to anyone online and you will find your freedom of speech no longer exists. Say that the Bible is gibberish and you will get your comments praised by hoards of those who have been brainwashed into believing that Islamic fundamentalism either does not exist or is misunderstood.
The truth of the matter is that it is open season on Christians and Jews and that Muslims are the flavor of the month. Despite the devastating terrorist attacks that killed thousands of people on September 11, 2001, the United States was willing to elect a president that was born to a Muslim father and who sympathizes with Islamic fundamentalism.
Throughout the world, Islamic fundamentalism is spreading. It is the fastest growing religion in the world and is growing at an alarming rate. The fact that the religion teaches not only intolerance, but promotes violence to those of other faiths is ignored. The human rights abuses in places like Saudi Arabia are ignored by groups like Amnesty International, who find it safer to protest in the United States where they will not be shot on sight. Say the Bible is gibberish in college and you will get applause from the university. Say the Koran is gibberish, and you will get expelled.
The double standard that exists between Christian fundamentalism and Islamic fundamentalism is apparent to anyone who reads the news. If someone of the Christian faith does something violent, the faith is maligned. If there is a bombing in the name of Islam, the faith is defended.
If you do not believe that Islamic fundamentalism is a threat to your freedom, go to an online forum, any one, and say that the Koran is gibberish. Then, under another name, post that the Bible is a book of fairy tales. See which comment gets the most reaction. The big difference is that while some fundamentalist Christians will respond by praying for you or preaching at you, Islamic fundamentalists will make death threats and will be more than willing to carry them out, if they know where you are.
Consider the writer Salmon Rushdie, who had to go into hiding because there was a price on his head after he published the Satanic Versus, a book that dared to criticize Islam. Consider cartoonists and filmmakers who were murdered over Islam in Europe after depicting it negatively on film or drawing a cartoon of Mohammad. Consider this before you think that Islamic fundamentalism is not a threat to your way of life.
