Can I become an Art Director with an animation degree? I'm very passionate about art and I'm considering continuing my studies with a bachelor degree in Animation I would eventually like to land a position as an art director, but I am wondering if this degree would be appropriate for such a job? Or would I be better off studying something like Graphic Design or Media Arts? If anyone has experience in this industry, please let me know thank you so much, Every creative department has an art director, be it digital media, web design, video game design, and yes, animation. An art director is kind of a muddy title because their job description can vary from company to company, but you can think of it as just another manager position like in any other field. So yes, go nuts.

Computer Animation Jobs Comes In Different Varieties

If computers fascinate you, then there are some really great jobs in the industry that you may want to check out, especially in the design, animation and graphic genres. Many of the individuals that have computer animation jobs started out with a love of movies, cartoons and graphics.

This type of career will allow you to help design computer animation programs, design 3D or 2D animations and possibly even develop computer games. This has the potential of being more than a job, as it may very well develop into a career you adore.
