Is anyone else bothered by the plethora of cartoons "teaching" our American-English speaking children SPANISH Why are there 5 spanish-english cartoons available for every one english- only cartoon?? If this were reversed there would be no need for spanish -english anything in America...the immigrants would be learning english unconsciuosly just as my middle class small town America 5 yr. old is unconsciously learning Spanish. Yea for Charlie and Lola! Yes I am annoyed by that, but not as much as other things that are being taught to kids in cartoons like homosexuality, teen sex, interracial relationships, vandalism, and witchcraft. On one episode of Spongebob Squarepants, the two formed a family, with Spongebob as the wife. In an episode of Buggs Bunny, Buggs was dressed as a female and kissed a male character. At least teaching them another language serves a purpose. Lets not stop at cartoons. What do children and adults learn in sitcoms? They learn how to back talk and disrespect one another. We let our kids watch sitcoms, but then punish them for talking back to the teacher, when that is what the programs teach.
