 Why does Spider-Man have web shooters in the cartoons and comic books when he doesn't have them in the movies? I never understood why he needed web shooters. If the radioactive spider bit him than that should've gave him the ability to shoot webs out his arms. He never received the ability to shoot webs in the comics, until recently. He gained the proportional strength, agility, and jumping power of a spider (along with Spidey sense), but that's all. He gained the intuition of how to make "web fluid" from the bite and using his science skills, created the web fluid and shooters. It was used as a way to keep him from suceeding against some foes, and to put him in peril. When he ran out of fluid, it was always at the worst possible time. Recently, he was killed and reborn with more power than before. He could lift up to 25 tons (only 10 tons before), had infravision, the ability to shoot webbing naturally (and it was stronger), 2 pincers that protruded from his forearms, and the ability to talk to insects. He's since lost those abilities after making a deal with Mephisto. The movie didn't have time to show him creating his web shooters or they didn't believe the audience would accept that premise, so they went with the natural ones instead. They still kept his web slinging hand sign though. Originally it pressed on the controls that were located on the palm of his hand. His natural webbing should come out of his arms though. Spiders don't produce webs from their limbs. It comes from their abdomen (butts). They grab it with their legs and spread it out to where they want it. If Spider-Man had gotten his web shooting ability from the spider, wouldn't it mimic nature a bit more closely? We'd laugh at a dude who shoots the webbing like that. |

Most of the world’s information is not digitized. The vast majority is in print form, mostly in books. Reading fires the imagination in the child. It encourages quick learning and widens his views, expands horizons and helps him learn about different people and places. It encourages imagination and curiosity. Reading gives children skills in handling complex ideas. But the future generation appears to be at a risk of going straight from an oral to a digital culture, skipping over the writing and reading culture in the process. Reading sharpens the thought processes of a child. It increases his or her attention span. It gives him the faculty of thinking and understanding. Child psychologists and counselors have often stressed the importance of the reading habit in modern-day children. However, it is quite obvious that the book culture is on the decline. Parents need to resurrect this habit as it adds multiple dimensions to a child's growth.
Reasons for decline in reading habits among children are offshoots of technological advancements which have brought about overall changes in family, social and economic conditions.
- Reading is not considered a relevant leisure activity as it does not form part of children’s social interaction.
- Reading is considered a solitary pursuit and is not preferred in comparison with interactive chats on the internet.
- There is also an overriding desire amongst young people to spend time with their friends than remain at home and read.
