Weird Anime Craze? What is up with all of the people obsessed with Japanese Anime? Now, when I whenever I search ANYTHING on youtube, It's always some crap with "Naruto" or whatever. Well I actually sat through one of these things (Like 2 mins. and the song was mildly good.) And it seems an awful lot like the cartoons I would watch on saturday mornings as a kid. Actually, it seems EXACTLY like the cartoons that I watched as a kid. So what's up with this? I can tell that they're not kids, they're actually adults, watching cartoons. Kinda creepy in my opinion. What do you think? I'm half Japanese and Half Russian so don't give me any "YOU'RE A STUPID AMERICAN!!!" crap. P.S. Who brought up the issue of Anime porn and sex appeal :O Why am I getting answers to this question that say "Not all Anime has porn in it." ?????? Confuzzled. Flapjack, "Densha" means train. Literally. I don't know if you knew that, just stating it to clarify. anime/manga in Japan is made for all ages. its not rare to see business men reading manga on the densha. Japan has really embraced cartoons and its a big part of its culture, its funny that the only art form that was invented in America, is despised an seen as kids stuff in America. Japanese anime and manga is done reallay well as its been professionalized and has a large market, im not surprised its catching on here as our relations with Japan and the rest of the world open up an our cultures influence each other ♥ also there is a lot of viarity within manga/anime, not liking it becuase u dont like one anime or genre, is like giving up music because u dont liek rap
