If I drew a picture of a famous cartoon character, is that copyright infringement? I am making a picture book to give away. If the younger person likes a certain cartoon or TV hero,(example -Handy Manny or Mickey Mouse) can I draw that hero without infringing on copyright laws? It most certainly is! Will you please e-mail me your name and address so I can contact the authorities? Seriously though, although that may be infringement thus illegal, unless you or someone else is attempting to profit financially or spread a "cause" I doubt any copyright police will come looking for you. They really have bigger fish to fry.
