Is animation mentor.com really the best way to learn animation? Does the program help you get a job and teach you the skills you need to find one? (I can draw, and am practicing all the time, own The Illusion of Life and the Preston Blair Animation Book) If anyone has anything good or bad to say about the class (preferably someone who has the experience!) please let me know Hey, I'm a student at Animation Mentor and it really is the best way to learn. I have been through Uni where I studied animation, and I learned more at AM in the first 3 month class than I did at the full 3 years at uni. I cannot recommend the school highly enough, it really has changed my life and helped me get my first job in the industry. My only word of warning is that it is pure animation. No rigging or modelling, that is all supplied for you. This was perfect for me, but some people prefer to be a jack of all trades. Also, it is rather expensive, (not quite as much as Uni) so make sure you have the time to put in the work and effort that it needs for you to be successful. However, my tutors have been from Blue Sky, Rhythm & Hues, Disney, WETA and Sony, so I have been taught from animators who work for the big boys making the giant blockbusters we see in the movies. Worth every penny.
